The Call

Please Help,

i cannot breathe.

without you here with me.

I need your help,

you know its true.

All i am asking is for you,

to make me stronger.

POEM of the day:

HERO

There’s a hero If you look inside your heart You don’t have to be afraid Of what you are There’s an answer If you reach into your soul And the sorrow that you know Will melt away

And then a hero comes along With the strength to carry on And you cast your fears aside And you know you can survive So when you feel like hope is gone Look inside you and be strong And you’ll finally see the truth That a hero lies in you

BLOG ENTRY 14:

In my group, we decieded to do a blog about if we were in a refusal of a return and or The magic flight of something in our life that it delt with. I am choosing to just do refusal of the return. Examples from class we thought of is in our notes, which is posted with this blog. I thought that it went really well with the topic.

Something in my life that i think that would be the closest would be i was talking and dating this boy for awhile, and we decieded to get together but he put me through hell, really. While on this journey i felt as if i couldnt get out of the situation i were in, but luckily i had this other guy friend that helped  me through this journey and helped me get out of that garbage. Now that guy friend of mine and i are together, and we are so happy together.

This just shows that sometimes when going through something that feels like its hell and is never going to end, that with a little bit of help you can get through a lot of things even if theres that feeling that you wont. Im glad that i have the friends i do, and that both experience’s can only make me stronger!

Refusal of the Return

Once the hero finishes his quest he may not want to return to his home and stay in the new world the hero may believe that the old world won’t accept or understand what the hero as learned on his journey.

*Nettie in The Color Purple left and went to Africa and she wanted to come home to her “pa” but she thought that he wouldn’t understand why she left.

*Effie in Dream Girls was kicked out of the group and she didn’t want to go back to her old life of no music, fame or fortune.

The Magic Flight

The hero may rather decide to return home after finishing his quest.  He may be accompanied by a protector who helps him overcome the obstacles the hero might face as he returns home.  With the prize in hand, the hero must flee from those he angered on his journey.

*Jesus Christ Superstar goes on his journey and he has kind of like a protector, the black man follows him and tries to help him out.

*The movie Role Models has these two guys in it that get into trouble and need to do community service or they will go to prison.  They do the service and do not go to prison.  The one guy helps the other by being his protector and helping him by trying to get back together with his wife, who he leaves in the beginning of the movie.

Living through a rough life,

feeling as if you had nothing.

Poor as shit, and barely any food,

feeling as if you had nothing.

This emptyness inside,

feeling as if you had nothing.

Trying to push to succeed,

feeling as if you had nothing.

It all turns around,

feeling as if you had something.

starting to make some money,

feeling as if you had something.

actually a chance to rest,

feeling as if you had something.

no more worrys about money,

feeling as if you had something.

When i read what we were supose to write on this blog the first thing that came to mind about some knowledge ive learned and wouldn’t mind sharing would probably be what i learned today in health. We were playing a game where the girls sit on one side of the room, and the boys on the other. The teacher passed around a piece of paper to everyone and the girls got to write down a question that they’d like to ask the guys, and the same with the guys. Well for some reason something came up. The teacher started telling us about this new term she learned, called “the game”. Some students said yes and some were confused. Well she went on and explained. It’s when theres first base, second base, and third base, plus the bench warmers. Its pretty much a slut that when their first person and them are having problems or whatever reasons, they go to the second base, which is the second person they have lined up and so on. The bench warmers are just like one nighters.

Well i guess your probably wondering what this has to do with anything, but it made me think of all the sick people there are in the world, and people actually do this. I know that not everyones perfect, but these people are pretty much asking for some kind of disease. I think it is wrong that boys and girls do this. I can see if they date someone but not slut around just to see how many people they can get. I learned in high school from my 11th grade health teacher, that there was a man who went around and tried to see how many girls he could sleep with. The number got very high, and im sure he passed on some std’s and who else knows what.

This i would share with people because i think some girls and guys get attached to sluts and they dont even know they do it behind their backs. I know a person who they dated for awhile and his girlfriend went and cheated on him behind his back. He didn’t know what to think. There was nothing they could of really done, but now he knows that no matter how much trust you have with a person, you have to keep a tight leash on them if you want to really be with that person. So they dont make them wrong slutty choices.

Very scared, to lose a loved one,

watching her lay, while in pain.

Holding her hand, saying prayers,

but we knew she’d never be the same.

So hard to say goodbye,

many tears i cried.

No more time to be depressed,

my grandma would want the best.

I tried to look at it positive,

it was the only thing i could do, so i did.

I learned from her wisdom,

shes happy once again.

Fighting for my dreams to make her proud,

for that what she’d want, if she was still around.

I think that incidence of apotheosis to me would be like when i had a moment in my life where something didn’t turn out as planned, or if something bad suddenly happened. I feel that these moments in life really help you learn how to handle some situations in life, or help you make the right decisions. I know that everytime i have a downfall in life, i try to not look at it so negitively and try and put a good side to it as best as i can sometimes. I mean sometimes it’s really not that easy to do, but i think it’s a good way of learning and can only make you stronger. I’m sure everyone has had something bad happen to them at least one point in their life, or maybe even more than once. It can be very difficult trying to get through some of these times, but people need to realize that theres more to life then one thing.

A time that cleary stands out to me in my life, when i had a downfall is whenever my great grandma past away. Ever since i was a little girl, going to my grandmas was my favorite thing to do, and still is one of them. She just appreciated everything you would do for her, and she always had the best storys to tell. When ever she got sick this past year was one of the hardest things ive had to deal with rather then loosing one of my good friends in a car accident while in a car with a drunk driver. I knew that she had went off into a better place and it would only be selfish of me to want her to still be here. She was sick and old. It was her time to go, as much as we hated it. I think that this put me down to the lowest stage and i had to learn from it.

I know that i will learn from her death. She would want me to push myself to live my dreams, and im slowly working at it. The only thing i can really do now is look at everything positive, looking at it as a negitive thing would be pointless. Your not going to really get anything back, so you cant really be upset about it forever. What im really trying to say is that we all need to learn from mistakes and let them make us stronger, and live life as full as possible.
